Several organisations work in close collaboration with the National Archive, with whom they develop numerous projects, including participation in the recovery of documents, educational activities and dissemination.

The Society oversees the historical and scientific accuracy of genealogy and other related disciplines.
It is based at the Arxiu Nacional de Catalunya. It offers a wide range of courses and workshops on the subjects for which it caters, in conjunction with the ANC and the Ramon Muntaner Institute.

The Association works for the recovery of historical memory of the Spanish Civil War and Exile. In conjunction with the Government of Catalonia, the AGE promotes the donation of the documentary holdings of people who lived through the war and exile. The records that are recovered are stored by the organisation in the Arxiu Nacional de Catalunya.

CESIRE - CERES stands for the Specific Centre of Support for Innovation and Educational Research, founded by the Department of Education of the Government of Catalonia and dedicated to the fields of the Humanities, Social Sciences and Philosophy.
The Centre is a meeting point and a place for reflection for teachers of the Humanities, Social Sciences and Philosophy, fostering educational innovation and an improvement in the quality of teaching. It promotes the use of sources as an educational resource and information technology as an important tool.
It is based at the Arxiu Nacional de Catalunya, from whom it receives regular support.
